You see, we are a small family of 3; Daddy, Mommy and our little baby girl. During the first 6 months of our daughter's life, it was (gently - ha ha ha) brought to my attention, that I have spent most of our savings on little outfits and accessories for our princess. Who says a little girl shouldn't have a pair of bellbottom yoga pants in 7 different colours? What's wrong with a little pair of shoes to match each and every outfit? Ok, I guess I went a little overboard. In the process I became more aware that not being careful and thrifty had cost me a little more than I had expected. After all, more than half of my spending went towards the high shipping costs, hefty duty charges and ridiculous exchange rates. I wasn't being realistic, and was purchasing baby clothes on impulse from the first store I found online. Then I had an idea..... Why not offer Canadians the opportunity to buy American products within Canada to avoid all the crazy charges that go along with buying merchandise over the border. This is how Purple Pupa was born.
We chose the word "Pupa" because it has become a popular nickname for our daughter, given by her loving aunt Mary. In Italian, Pupa means "doll" and we thought... "hmm, Purple is a neutral colour, that can be worn by both boys and girls. Therefore, we put the 2 together and voilá! Of course, the word "couture" just happened to be so fitting, since we don't sell your average department store labels and styles.
Needless to say, we are very proud to offer high end brands without the high end prices. Remember, when you buy from Purple Pupa Kids Couture & Accessories, you won't have to deal with those silly extra charges. The price you see is the price you pay.
